シロップをおいしくするなにか
花のまわりにあつまるうれしいけはい
星と星のあいだにあるとおくのよかん
見えないけれど
たしかにそこに“いる”もの
「そぼふるけはい」は、
霧のような細かな雨を表す「そぼふる」と
まだ輪郭を持たない「けはい」を重ねた言葉です
真昼の空にある星
パンを膨らませる酵母
土を育てる菌たち
記憶
感情
祈り
見えないけれど
たしかにそこに“ある”もの
最近、そういう存在へ心を向ける時間が増えました
もし その小さなはたらきをするものたちを
目に見えるほど大きくしたなら
どんな姿をしているのだろう
会ってみたいな
会いたいな
そんな彼らに思いを馳せながら制作しました

A joyful presence gathering around flowers
A distant premonition somewhere between the stars
Invisible,
yet surely there — “beings”
“Sobofuru Kehai” brings together two Japanese words:
sobofuru, a fine rain falling softly like mist,
and kehai, a presence that has not yet taken form.
Stars hidden in the midday sky
Yeast that makes bread rise
Microorganisms that nurture the soil
Memories
Emotions
Prayers
Invisible,
yet surely there — “things”
Lately, I find myself spending more time
turning my attention toward such presences.
If these tiny beings, quietly at work around us,
were enlarged until we could see them,
what might they look like?
I’d like to meet them.
I want to meet them.
With my thoughts drifting toward these unseen beings,
I created this body of work.
