This series of vessel-like works is constructed by layering more than twelve sheets of polyethylene in different colors.

The layered colors subtly influence one another, creating depth, variation, and quiet shifts in tone.
These layers evoke kasane-no-irome, a traditional Japanese sensibility in which combinations of color reflect the passage of time and the changing seasons.

In the color culture of the Heian period, subtle changes in nature and the seasons were closely observed and expressed through layers of color. I find that this sensibility continues to resonate today.

In this series, I focus particularly on white, exploring its many expressions and the subtle differences that emerge through layering.

When heat is applied, the polyethylene contracts, creating subtle, unpredictable variations in the surface. At times, the surfaces take on a depth and fluidity reminiscent of organic glass, while still retaining traces of the material itself and its transformation through heat.

Rather than controlling these changes completely, I respond to the expressions that emerge from the material and allow them to shape the form of each vessel.

The works can be folded flat, moving between three-dimensional form and a flat plane.

この壺のようなシリーズは、12枚以上の異なる色の素材を重ねることで構成されています。

重ねられた色は、ごく僅かな影響として表面に干渉し、奥行きや揺らぎとなって静かに立ち現れます。

そこには、日本古来の美意識である「襲色目（かさねいろめ）」を想起させる、色彩の重なりと時間性が内包されています。

平安時代の色彩文化にみられるように、自然や四季の移ろいを繊細に捉え、色の重なりによってその感覚を表現すること。その感性は、現代にも通じるものだと感じています。

本シリーズではとくに「白」に着目し、さまざまな白の表情や、わずかな差異の重なりを探っています。

熱を加えることでポリエチレンが収縮し、その偶発的な変化から、独自の表面が生まれます。陶器の釉薬にも似た質感や揺らぎは、素材そのものが持つ性質と、熱による変化の痕跡です。

その表情をできるだけそのまま受け取りながら、壺というかたちを立ち上げています。

作品は折り畳むことで平面へと戻ることができ、立体と平面のあいだを行き来する存在として成立しています。
